Seaglassing, Page 4

WHOAH!  What is that?!  Bet you didn't expect to see a little Mishepishu hiding in the driftwood!

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this short tale, the story I'm telling in "Seaglassing" is inspired, in large part, by Lake Erie.  Lake Erie has a small, weird menagerie of cryptids associated with it, but Mishepishu, the mythical "underwater cat" of the Anishinabe culture, is probably the coolest.

Lightning Dog Comic, Page 4

It usually takes me a couple of hours to put together a Lightning Dog page.  I draw everything by hand with a light pencil, and then I go over it with a thin sharpie.  Next, I scan it, and fill in my lines with Photoshop.  I do a little bit of shading, but nothing fancy.  I just go over certain areas with one quarter opaque black to make the color a little darker.  My fingers always really hurt after I do a page, because I just use the touchpad instead of a mouse or tablet.
