Lightning Dog Has Printed!

Yeah!  Look at that!  It's the Lightning Dog comic!

I had a really fun experience the other day showing one of my friends at school the comic for the first time, and his reaction was hilarious!  He referred to the characters as the lightning dog, fire cat, cockroach guys, clever chameleon, and three musketeer dogs and gave some interesting synopses of what he thought was happening from page to page.  It's so funny to see another person reacting to the project positively!

I can't wait to distribute these to see more peoples reactions!

Lightning Dog Comic, Front Cover

Here is the front cover that I designed for the Lightning Dog comic.  I was considering calling is something else...but I've been referring to it as "the Lightning Dog comic" for so long now that I got attached to the name.  The proof of my comic that I put together is getting shipped to me tomorrow (supposedly), and I'm SO excited to see it!

That's all, folks!  The last page of Lightning Dog!  I've really enjoyed drawing this story, and posting this last page makes me feel a little sad.  On the other hand, I'm extremely excited to begin posting my next project, which is another comic (shorter this time...twelve pages).

I have begun a printing process, actually, to bring Lightning Dog into the physical world.  I will be receiving a printed proof of the book in about four days, and I can HARDLY wait!  Good thing I've got 5 billion assignments due for school next week, so I've got something to occupy my mind while I anticipate the arrival of what I've spent a year and a half (on and off) developing!

Glitched Pages

So, this is an uncharacteristic post for me to make, but my internet was acting odd this evening, and I noticed that a few of the Lightning Dog Comic pages were loading strangely.  Having, you know, drawn these pages myself, I find these versions slightly disturbing, but I appreciate them because I think the "glitch" sort of transcends my artistic abilities.  What I'm trying to say is that I respect these translations of my craft into another space.

Well, one semester of grad school down.  It was more demanding of my creativity than I originally thought, so I can only just now continue what I started.  I hope to finish this story before the year ends.  It's good to be back in business!

Lightning Dog

This picture is actually the first time that I ever digitally colored the Lightning Dog character.  Again, I'm still in the throes of moving across country, so probably no comic pages for another week and a half.
